Configure timeline widget style
You can configure in more detail the appearance of a timeline, including the connector styles, the data labels styles, the card styles and tooltips.
If the widget configuration dialog box is not already open, do as follows:
If the widget is on a Grid layout dashboard, click the Menu icon
in the top right-hand corner of the widget and select Settings.If the widget is on a Fluid layout dashboard, on the floating toolbar for the widget, click the Settings icon:

Click the Configuration tab.
On the left-hand side, click Style.
Configure the settings as required.
Setting
Description
Connector width
The width of the vertical line connecting the data points.
Note
Allowed values are from 0-15 points.
Connector color
The color of the vertical line connecting the data points.
Also, based on the Palette in the Widget Style tab, a set of Preset colors are available to directly choose from, which if selected, change based on the theme.
Labels position
The position of the labels on the card – Left, Right or Center.
Labels distance
The distance of the labels from the connector.
Note
Allowed values are from 0-100 points.
Alternate
Places the data of each card on either side of the connector.
Icon Source
The source of the icon displayed at a data point - Manual or Dataset.
If you selected Manual then the following options are displayed:
Icon shape - The shape of the icon to be used – Circle, Square, Triangle right or Triangle left.
Icon color – The color of the icon.
Also, based on the Palette in the Widget Style tab, a set of Preset colors are available to directly choose from, which if selected, change based on the theme.
If you selected Dataset then the following option is displayed:
Column headers – The dataset columns names.
Enable Tooltip
Displays a tooltip when the mouse pointer hovers over a data point. When selected, the Tooltip Format option is displayed below, for you to configure the format of the tooltips.

The HTML code for the tooltip format.
You can also translate this text by clicking on the Translate icon
and entering the translation of the desired language selected. Auto-suggestions are also available where the reused contents are auto-suggested.The following settings refer to the text styles for the Label, Description, Start Time and End Time values on the card.

Color
The color of the text.

Font Size
The text font size in points.
Note
Allowed values are from 0-15 points.
Bold
If selected, the text font is dark and heavy.
Border
If selected, displays a border around the text.
Border Color
The color of the border around the text.
Also, based on the Palette in the Widget Style tab, a set of Preset colors are available to directly choose from, which if selected, change based on the theme.
Border Thickness
The thickness of the border around the text.
Note
Allowed values are from 0-15 points.
The following setting refer to the card styles.

Card Border Color
The color of the card border.

Border Thickness
The thickness of the card border.
Note

Border Radius
The corner radius of the border.
Note
Allowed values are from 0-20 points.
Click Update.
