Quantela platform user manual

About the Quantela platform

The Quantela platform is a flexible integration and management platform for Smart Cities and other urban communities. It integrates with a wide range of external services and data sources to receive, manage, analyze and store data and events. The data can be automatically cleansed and transformed before correlating it with data from other systems to provide a unified view of the urban environment.

The Quantela platform includes a very customizable dashboard application that can be configured to display live data, historical trends, analytical insights, and event notifications. Users can build their own dashboards and select from a library of visual ‘widgets’ including charts, tables, maps, and other visual representations. These widgets can be bound to datasets from the connected data sources, and all of the visual elements can be configured to easily produce very individual dashboards.

The Quantela platform also provides powerful Automation facilities that can be used to automatically identify events of interest and take specific actions. A configurable stream-processing engine can both react to events that have been received from the external systems, and also analyze the data received from these systems to identify specific situations. These events can be used to trigger automation rules which will execute workflows that have been programmed to automate standard operating procedures.

The Quantela suite of products includes the Quantela Citizen and Field Officer mobile applications, which are beyond the scope of this user manual and are documented elsewhere.
