Quantela platform user manual

Roles

A role in the Quantela platform determines which features of the Quantela platform are available to users with that role. Each user in the Quantela platform must be assigned one and only one role. There are two types of role:

  • A default role is a system-defined user role that cannot be changed or removed. The following default roles are defined:

    • Content Creator Operators with this role can create content for use by other operators, including dashboards, automation rules, and mobile app content.

    • Citizen This role is used to restrict access to only the Quantela Citizen mobile application.

    • Operator This role is the default role for the Quantela platform operators. It provides access to dashboards and events, but does not allow them to be changed.

    • Field Officer This role is used to restrict access to only the Quantela Field Officer mobile application.

    • Developer This role is typically used by advanced content creators who create connectors and datasets and develop scripts for advanced operations.

    • Organization Admin This role is an unrestricted role with complete access to all features and entities.

  • A derived role is a custom role that is derived from one of the default roles, but can be configured to meet the operational requirements.
